Savory Sub Cafe & Pizzeria

When Paul and Lynne Haviland began thinking of opening their own sandwich and pizza shop, they decided to learn the business by exposing themselves to the methods used by the industry leaders. Lynne took a job with a franchise sandwich shop, and Paul went to work for another chain operation where he learned to bake. In 2004, Paul and Lynne combined their knowledge and experience to found Savory Sub Café & Pizzeria on Center Road in Brunswick, Ohio. We met with Paul recently, and listened as he provided this overview of Savory Sub Café & Pizzeria's offerings;

Savory Sub Café & Pizzeria is an independent, family-owned and operated restaurant serving a wide variety of subs, pizzas, salads, bakery items, and beverage. Throughout the cooler months we serve homemade chili and soups, and through the warmer months we serve smoothies and Frappachinos. We provide catering services with our 3½ foot party sub being one of our most ordered items.

Our subs are available on seven varieties of hearth-baked baguettes that are made from scratch daily to create the best possible flavor. We fresh-slice our high quality meats for every sandwich, and make all of our own specialty sauces in-house. All of our subs can be oven roasted or panini grilled.

We make our fresh pizza dough from scratch every day of the week, and our homemade pizza sauce is simmered for four hours daily. The four cheeses we blend to achieve the flavor stretches and melts like no other in the area. We only use the freshest pizza toppings, including fresh Italian sausage. Baking in our artisan deck ovens creates a delicious, crispy crust that high speed conveyor ovens just can't duplicate.

We offer delivery service to all of Brunswick and some of Brunswick Hills. We deliver lunch from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm, and dinner deliveries are available from 5:00 pm until we close. Deliveries run from noon on Saturdays until closing time, and we deliver all day on Sundays.
