Pearlview Rehab & Wellness Center was built in 1967, and came under the ownership and management of Progressive Quality Care Inc. in 2003. Progressive, a family owned business with a combined 50 years of nursing care experience, has become a leader in the nursing care industry throughout the State of Ohio. We met recently with Administrator Tim Dye and Director of Admissions and Marketing Cynthia Schroeder, and listened as they provided this overview of Pearlview Rehab & Wellness Center's offerings;
Pearlview Rehab & Wellness Center is a skilled nursing facility committed to providing the finest physical, emotional, and spiritual care for individuals who can no longer care for themselves or need rehabilitation. We offer a full range of skilled nursing services, including 24 hour nursing care, restorative nursing, wound care, convalescent stays, respite stays, and hospice care. Our Rehab Department provides physical, speech, and occupational therapy, intravenous therapy, and orthopedic care to enable our residents to achieve their highest level of function.
We employ the most qualified and devoted staff in order to ensure a rewarding life for all who live here. Our facility is set apart from our competition by the longevity of our team members, many of whom have been here for ten, twenty, and thirty years. We find that the staff longevity adds to the continuum of care with our residents.
Our Dietitians prepare menus and ensure taste, variety, and quality for all regular and special diets, and we provide our residents with a restaurant-type dining environment. In addition to a menu with a rotating daily selection, we provide our residents with several menu options so they have full discretion in choosing their meals.
Recent renovations have provided us with a brand new, ten room skilled nursing unit. Each of these private rooms has been redecorated with new furniture and countertops, and includes an electric bed. Our long-term care residents can select their own paint color and a border for their room to make them feel very much at home. Over the summer we will be adding a new awning to the front of the building and repaving our parking lot, as well.
Pearlview's Activities Department strives to provide the special attention Residents need to develop their personal interests and discover their potential. They can achieve this through their own participation or assistance in activities. Holidays, Birthday Celebrations, pet therapy, intergenerational visits, and entertainment programs are just a few of the activities we provide. Our Residents enjoy weekly outings to special events, stores, malls, parks, and restaurants. We also utilize a bus with a wheel chair lift to transport our residents to and from nearby family members' homes so they have the opportunity to share the holidays with their loved ones.
We received a deficiency-free survey from the State of Ohio this past January, and we score very highly on the state's independent customer service satisfaction surveys.
