Andy Zarzour grew up watching his mother cook. When her employer closed in the mid 1980s, she put her culinary talents to work with the purchase of the Flaming Gyros restaurant in Parmatown Mall. In 1991 the Zarzour family purchased the Deli Junction next door, and in 1999 they became the proud new owners of Old World Deli in Brunswick, Ohio. We met with Andy recently, and listened as he provided this overview of Old World Deli's offerings and hospitality;
Old World Deli is a family owned and operated restaurant offering high quality, well-made deli sandwiches in addition to many Lebanese and Mediterranean specialties. We also offer catering, party trays, and hot meals for business and social events within a thirty to forty minute radius of Brunswick. We treat each customer like a guest in our own home, and strive to provide them with quick, friendly service.
Corned beef and gyros are our signature items, and our menu is complete with a wide variety of salads, deli sandwiches, subs, burgers, and dinners. We offer Veggie, Sicilian, and Chicken Philly Subs, Reubens, Grilled Chicken Breast, and Chicken Cordon Bleu sandwiches. Our Mediterranean selections include Tabouli, Hummus with Pita, and Meat or Spinach Pies. We have all types of burgers, Pierogi Dinners, Grilled Panini, and Deli Wraps in your choice of white, wheat, or herb garlic tortillas. Our dessert menu includes excellent cheesecakes, brownies, chocolate cake, Baklava, and Cannolis.
Catering service is available for business functions, baby and wedding showers, birthday parties, anniversary parties, graduation parties, and many other business and social events. Our catering menu is available for both pick-up or delivery, and includes appetizers, entrees, party trays, salads, desserts, Mediterranean favorites, breakfast items, and boxed lunches.
