Recruited by a large Eastern life insurance company to primarily write life and health insurance, Delmar (Del) Painting began his insurance career in the mid 1960s. After seven years as a captive agent, Del expanded his agency to include auto, home, and business policies, as well. Firemark Insurance Agency, Inc. is an independent insurance agency representing many of the insurance industry's leading underwriters. In addition to providing auto, home, life, health, and business coverage, we have the ability to write policies covering everything from pony rides to limousine services. While most agencies offer a limited range of products, we have a forty-one year tradition of tailoring our coverage to meet our customers' highly individualized needs.

We are a family oriented agency. My son and three daughters work here, and everyone who walks through our door becomes a member of our extended family. We have a play area in the front for our customers' children, and we take the time to answer each customer's questions and provide them with the best advice we can. Many families have been with us for as long as we have been in business, and we always have time to meet with our customers in person, discuss their needs, and offer them our assistance.

Community service is a large part of our mission, and as a faith-based agency we strive to live by the Golden Rule. Whether as a Sunday school teacher, trustee, cook, or greeter, each of us is active within our own church. I am the Chairman of the Trustees of the Strongsville United Methodist Church, and for the past five years my family and I have worked with the food bus every Wednesday evening to deliver hot meals, clothing, and toys to between 150 and 200 less fortunate people in downtown Cleveland. Shortly before Christmas each year our staff and customers decorate approximately 200 miniature Christmas trees which are sent to our soldiers in Iraq.
