In the mid-1990s Antun (Tony) Grdic and his family immigrated to the United States. Unable to speak English at the time, they enrolled in a government program through which they agreed to learn the language and accept no government assistance for a three year period in exchange for their American citizenship. Tony found work in the construction industry as a carpenter, and before long was applying his skills on projects not only around his own home, but also on projects for his friends. In 2001, five short years after coming to the United States, Tony opened his own business with the founding of Finish Carpentry in Brunswick, Ohio. Tony and his wife are justifiably proud of the success they have experienced in their new homeland, and are proof that The American Dream can become a reality for anyone willing to work hard. We met with Tony recently, and listened as he described the services Finish Carpentry offers;

Finish Carpentry specializes in all types of carpentry work, including custom wood-working, new homes, and remodeling. Our remodeling projects include everything from framing through drywall, cabinetry, finished carpentry, and painting. We build new additions, finish basements, and remodel kitchens and bathrooms. Our custom wood-working skills include building book shelves, entertainment centers, and custom-built fireplaces that are practically works of art. We are insured and bonded, and work throughout the Northeast Ohio community.

We strive to build open, honest relationships with our customers. I meet with each customer several times prior to beginning their project to ensure we have created design that meets or exceeds all of their expectations. Our prices are always reasonable, and our quality is beyond reproach.
